Yesterday was the first day back at university for my fellow coursemates and I, in our final semester before graduation, yet many people in the two lectures we had proved that they have a lot of growing up to do between now and getting a job.

My friend/colleague/housemate Danny spotted an article by the legendary sports writer Martin Samuels this week, amid all the media hoo-haa surrounding the predictable appointment of Kevin Keegan as Newcastle United manager. Again.

Apart from the fact that new owner Mike “I’m just like you!” Ashley has sacked Sam Allerdyce before he had a chance to warm the seat in his office, we’ve also been bombarded with the annoying vanity of the Geordie population.

“We’re not like you lot from down south, you don’t understand us.”

No, you’re not like us. Most of you who attend St James’s Park on a saturday afternoon are dangerously obese men in desperate need of a t-shirt to cover up your hideous breasts.

I am very pleased to say that after a short break from blogging I have returned to shower you with more utter drivel! It’s been a while since my last post, and while I could sit here and claim that I’ve been extremely busy and just haven’t had the time, I’ve decided to be honest instead: I am very lazy.
